Information You Submit
Search Terms
When you enter a name, county, state, or other detail into a search box, that query is sent to the outside provider that operates the search tool. This site does not keep its own separate log of those search terms.
Messages
If you email us or submit a contact message, we use the information in that message to respond. We do not share those messages outside our organization unless a legal requirement applies.
Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, this site may collect technical data when a page loads, including:
- The IP address used to connect.
- Browser name and version.
- Device type and operating system.
- Pages viewed and approximate time spent on them.
- The referring website, when available.
- Date and time stamps.
Cookies
Cookies may be used to understand how visitors move through the site and to support normal website functions. You can block cookies in your browser settings, although some features or partner tools may work differently after cookies are blocked.
How the Information Is Used
- To keep the site available, stable, and reasonably fast.
- To pass search requests to the appropriate partner service.
- To understand which Trinity County custody and records pages visitors use most.
- To diagnose broken pages, errors, or other technical problems.
- To display advertising that may be relevant to visitor interests.
Links Away From This Site
Pages may link to sheriff, jail, court, CDCR, VINELink, BOP, ICE, government portal, and third-party search sites. Once you leave this site, the destination site's own privacy policy and data practices apply.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and deliver targeted ads. That tracking is handled on their platforms, not through records hosted here.
Who May Receive Information
We do not sell personal data. Information may be available to the following categories of recipients when needed for the site to operate or when the law requires it:
- Search partners that process a submitted query.
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and performance.
- Advertising networks that help support the site.
- Law-enforcement agencies, courts, or government bodies when a valid legal order requires disclosure.
Security
We use ordinary security practices intended to protect site data, but no website, server, or internet transmission can be made completely secure. We do not promise breach-proof protection.
Visitors Under 18
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If a minor has submitted information, contact us so the information can be reviewed for deletion.
